These game day wings are packed with an aromatic sweet and savory flavor. With hints of ginger, garlic, soy and sesame; they are to sure to steal the show this Sunday at your Super Bowl party. Try them and let me know how it goes!

INGREDIENTS FOR WINGS

  • 10 lbs. chicken wings
  • 1 ( 12oz. ) Bottle of Red Stripe Beer
  • Salt and pepper to taste

INGREDIENTS FOR GINGER SAUCE

  • 1/2 cup soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp. fresh ginger, chopped
  • 1 tbsp. fresh garlic, chopped
  • 2 tbsp. honey
  • 1 tbsp. extra virgin olive oil
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • Chopped chives and toasted sesame seeds for garnish

DIRECTIONS

Steam chicken wings in a pot filled with 1 bottle of beer. They should cook for about 40 minutes or until you are easily able to pierce through wing with a fork.

In the meantime, make your glaze. Add all ginger sauce ingredients to a sauce pan and simmer on low heat for about 20 minutes. Stir repeatedly until glaze thickens.

Once wings are thoroughly cooked, lay them flat on a baking sheet and broil in oven at 350 degrees. After the wings start to get crispy and brown, take them out of the oven and baste them with a thick coating of ginger glaze. Add them back into the oven for about 5 minutes to fully crisp. Garnish with lightly toasted sesame seeds and freshly chopped chives.
