Cactus Pear Banana Smoothie

Add a full burst of flavor to your morning with this tasty goodness. I've been trying to eat healthier now that the new year is in full swing. This smoothie is very filling and can also be used as a meal replacement throughout your day. It takes less then 5 minutes to make.

Oh, and more importantly these prickly pears are known to cure the unpleasant effects of a hangover. If you find yourself struggling' from drinking too much last night, you might want to add another pear. 

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 cactus pear
  • 1 banana
  • 2 cups of ice
  • 1 cup of low-fat greek yogurt
  • Splash of coconut water (or your favorite juice)

DIRECTIONS

Add all ingredients into a blender and mix until ingredients are evenly blended to your preferred consistency. Garnish with a slice of cactus pear.
